Another book haul? Only a week has passed since the last one. Yes, that is true; but my addiction to Book Outlet knows no bounds. Plus, I forgot to include two books in my last haul and then I made some e-book purchases because I’m running out of bookshelf space and….I’ll stop the rambling and get to the books.
Barnes & Noble
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
I’ve wanted this book since I first laid eyes on it. I searched high and low at the bookstores in my area but no one had it in stock. I was told it was in that weird amorphous land between hardcover and paperback so it’s hard to tell when a copy would be available. I considered waiting for the paperback to be published but then I recalled that sometimes the paperbacks are given a different design from the hardcover and I really like this one so…I went ahead and ordered online. I couldn’t bother waiting and risk not getting this beautiful cover. (Goodreads summary)
The High King by Lloyd Alexander
With this purchase, I complete The Chronicles of Prydain series. I plan to read it soon. (Goodreads summary)
Book Outlet
Shadow and Bone and Siege and Storm, both by Leigh Bardugo
I’ve wanted to read these for a long time now so when I saw them both on Book Outlet I immediately purchased them. (Goodreads summary)
The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente, illus. by Ana Juan
I’m not sure what this is about but I love the title and the illustration. (Goodreads summary)
The Godless by Ben Peek
I learned of this one in a YouTube book wrap-up video but I forgot which booktuber it was who discussed it. I just like the little twist on the whole gods concept, I think. I forgot what caught my attention. I spend way too much time looking at and reading about books. Maybe I should take a break. (Goodreads summary)
E-books
Amazon
Unteachable by Leah Raeder
I LOVE THIS BOOK! Yep, already read it and enjoyed it so a review is coming soon. It’s about a high-school girl who falls in love with and enters into a relationship with her teacher. Yes, totally taboo but OMG! it was a good, GREAT read. (Goodreads summary)
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
So the weirdo that I am downloaded a sample of this on my Nook app but bought it on my Kindle app because…I don’t know. Does anyone else do that? It so hard to decide on which to use sometimes though I lean more towards the Kindle app. Anyways, I’m reading this one now and I liked the first few pages but now I’m on about page 45 and my interest is starting to slowly decline. Boo. 😦
Early Bird Books
The Old Man in the Corner by Baroness Orczy
Umm…not sure why I got this one. I recall that it sounded interesting when I bought it but now when I read the Goodreads summary, it doesn’t seem like something I would go for. Maybe Early Bird Books gave it away for free. They do that sometimes.
Let me know what you like of shadow and bone once you read it! 🙂 I’ve been trying to decide if I want to pick it up or not

I am currently reading Shadow and Bone; the start is really good so far! (And book hauls aren’t bad especially ones from bookoutlet, at least that’s how I reason with why it’s okay to buy books, haha.)
