Top Ten Tuesday #4: Summer 2015 TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic:

Top Ten Books on My TBR for Summer 2015

Most of these are books I recently bought because though I don’t mind having an extremely long TBR list stored on my computer or on Goodreads, I don’t have space to store a teetering TBR pile.

So these are the books I have planned today. The list changes according to how I feel so who knows what it’ll look like next week. But I’ll definitely read You or Fangirl or Snow Like Ashes next, maybe.

What’s your summer reading plans?

  1. I really liked Shadow and Bone and Snow Like Ashes! And I need to read Fangirl and Me and Earl too! Hope you enjoy all of these and that you get the chance to read them all 🙂

    1. Thanks Shannon! I hope so too. Fingers crossed that by the end of September (my on designated end of summer) I’ll have completed them all, or most of them.

    1. I actually have Eleanor & Park on my shelf but I’ve convinced myself that I should read Fangirl first so I will as soon as I get the book.

  2. I really liked the Discovery of Witches Trilogy. I read them as they were released, wish I had waited and binged them over a couple of months so it would be easier to keep track of the characters. My favorite of the 3 was the second book. Enjoy!

  3. Hi! Aww Splintered is amazing! I wasn’t as sure about the rest of the series but Splintered was just so magical and dark! I’d like to read Snow like Ashes soon, I’ve heard great things.

    Happy Reading

    1. Hi Rachel! 🙂 Yep! I think I’ll enjoy Splintered too. I read the first couple pages and liked it so I have high hopes for it. Plus the cover has been beckoning me to pick it up for some time now.

  4. “A Discovery of Witches” is one of my all-time favorites, and the whole trilogy is awesome. The first book starts out a tad slow but don’t give up on it! Hope you enjoy! 🙂

  5. Ooooooh I loved Shadow and Bone! I read it earlier this year, so now I have to get around to reading the rest of the Grisha Trilogy. 😀 I hope you enjoy it, too!

A Discovery of Witches was also pretty good. It’s kind of slow, but it sucked me in (no pun intended because of the vampire twist) and I couldn’t stop reading it.

Right now I’m reading Juliet Marillier’s “Daughter of the Forest.” It’s pretty good! A few others I’m planning to read this summer are Karina Sumner-Smith’s “Defiant,” Tina Connolly’s “Ironskin,” and Renee Ahdieh’s “The Wrath and the Dawn.”

    1. Yep, I’ve wanted to read Shadow & Bone for a long time now so it’s a must this summer as well as The Discovery Witches. I’ve heard others say it’s slow as well but good. I read the synopsis of Mariller’s story and for some reason it reminds me of Cinderella. It does sound good. Everyone seems to like The Wrath and the Dawn. I hope you enjoy it too. It has such an awesome cover.

  6. There are quite a few of these that I can’t wait to find the time to read – I really hope you enjoy them! I’m really curious about ‘Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’. Great list!

    1. Thank you. It was the movie trailer that made me curious about that book. I don’t think a movie trailer has ever incited me to read before. Hmm…

    1. Yea I was drawn to it because I was told that the story is relayed from the stalker’s perspective and is in second person. I’ve never read a story narrated in the second person before so this will surely be an experience.

      1. I have Eleanor & Park too! Actually I have it and I don’t yet have Fangirl but I’ve set my mind on reading Fangirl as my first Rainbow Rowell book and it’s hard to change my mind about that. I hope we both enjoy it when we do read it.
        Thanks! Have a good one!
