Bout of Books 14

Bout of Books 14I’ve seen this going around so I decided to participate because I’d like to know how many books I can get through in a week if I don’t have to work, and since I’m on vacation, the timing is perfect.

I usually shy away from reading challenges because they seem stressful, especially when other areas of my life are chaotic but Bout of Books is supposed to be fun and I have the time so why not. If you’re new to this as I am, here’s some info on the event:

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 17th and runs through Sunday, August 23rd in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 14 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

I’ll probably not participate in the challenges and just observe from the sidelines. Anyways, here’s what I’ll attempt to read and my goal. I doubt I’ll get through all the material listed here but I’m restricting myself to read only books from this list.

Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fan fiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere.

Cath’s sister has mostly grown away from fandom, but Cath can’t let go. She doesn’t want to.
