Top 5 Wednesday #11: Please Write Another

I’m extra early with my Top 5 Wednesday this time. I’m turning in early so this Wednesday meme is going up on a Tuesday.

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme created by GingerReadsLainey. For more information on this meme, visit the Goodreads group. This week’s topic:

Book series you wish had more books

Seraphina duology by Rachel Hartman

I enjoyed reading these books and though the second book wraps up everything and answers all questions, I’m still curious about that fantasy world and I wonder what lies beyond the countries shown on the map.

Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan

There are only 3 books and I think it should have more. I don’t think it ended well. Nothing seems to be resolved really, so I think there should be another installment or two to wrap it all up.

Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan

I agree that 5 books are enough but I do wish for a spin-off where we learn more about Leo.

The Inheritance Cycle series by Christopher Paolini

The ending was okay but I’d like to see a spin-off series on Murtagh and what becomes of him or even about Eragon’s adventures in other lands.

Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

If you’re a huge fan, then you probably want additional books and spin-offs too.

  1. Seraphina definitely needs more books! I need to read the second but I loved the first, and I just know two books won’t be enough to satisfy me. I agree with the Kane Chronicles as well. Not some of his best work, if you ask me. Things felt really rushed in the last book and it was a lot more childish as well. :/

    1. Totally agree with you about Kane Chronicles. The ending was so abrupt, I didn’t even realize that it was an ending. I thought that another book was coming.
Yup, check out Shadow Scale. It was okay but you learn so much more about that world and it made me so much more curious. I prefer Seraphina to the two though.
