We still have a couple more days before the end of summer comes along so I thought it best to do this tag before then. Also, I’m procrastinating on a book review. I have so many thoughts but am finding it hard to organize them. I am so easily distracted these days. Anyways, this tag.
I was tagged by Summer at XingSings to do this tag. Thanks again, Summer! 😀
Show a book with a Summery cover! i.e Sun, Beach etc.
I picked The Last Summer by Ann Brashares because it has all the elements the question asks for: beach and sun. And I also picked Queen Sugar by Natalie Baszile because the colors on the cover makes me think of summer. I haven’t read either of these books yet.
Pick one fictional place that would be the perfect destination for your Summer Vacation!
I’d go to camp. Camp Halfblood, that is, from Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
You’re about to go on a flight to your Summer Vacation. But you want to read a book that lasts for the whole flight so what novella do you choose?
One of Robin McKinley’s novellas/short stories that’s based in Damar. I just found out about them.
You have a case of Summertime Sadness what happy book do you pick up to shine a smile on your face?
It depends on how sad I am. If I’m just down for the day, I’ll pick up either the first or fourth Harry Potter book. If I’m feeling sorry for myself, then I get Eat, Pray, Love.
You’re sitting at the beach all alone…which fictional character would be your beach babe?
Hmm…I don’t really fantasize about guys in books these days but if I have to choose, it’s either Marko from the Saga series or Sawyer Silver from Rat Queens.
To match your ice cream you want an icy cool sidekick! Which fictional sidekick do you pick?

Share the Summertime Happiness! Who do you TAG?
I TAG EVERYONE!!
There’s still some time before summer gets here so you can do it. Even if you’re seeing this in autumn, I still encourage you to do it and take some summer into the fall.
Happy reading! 🙂
