Weekend Reads is a weekly discussion on a variety of topics. At the end of the post, I’ll include what I plan to read on the weekend.
The question/topic for this weekend:
Yo Zezee, what’s up? Where you been?
This will be a short one. You may have been wondering where I’ve been these past few days and why I haven’t posted much. If so, read on and I’ll fill you in.
Life got busy in September when school began. I’m not in school but work got busy. Though that didn’t affect my blogging much, I did not post as much as I did over the summer. Then, later in the month, my laptop got sick until he stopped working and that made it hard to post or to keep up with any of my usual blogging activities, which is why this blog and its blogger have been quiet these past few weeks. No computer, no interactions over the internet.
However, I kept on reading and have tried to catch up on writing reviews on books I’ve read but it’s a hassle to use other computers in the house since they are located in places like the living room where noise tend to gather. I’m sitting in one such room now and it’s hard to focus or hold a thought longer than a second because various disruptions and interruptions scare them away. I just hope that what I write here makes some sort of sense to you.
Fingers crossed that my laptop will be sorted out soon. I’ll post a wrap-up of books read soon, either after this post or tomorrow. I can’t hold a thought long enough to decide when.
What I’m reading this weekend:
I just completed Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire about an hour ago. It remains my favorite of the series. From the way it ended, I’d say that Rowling was hinting at a potential romantic relationship between Hermione and Harry in this one. I’m not sure what I’ll read next since I feel as if I’m in mourning for my laptop. I need to finish A Clash of Kings, which I’ve been reading since the beginning of time and I should pick up The High King, which is the last book of the Chronicles of Prydain series by Lloyd Alexander. But I don’t what to do with myself. The only thing that makes sense to me right now is for me to be a lazy bum and rewatch the Heroes TV series.
OH NO! , Lappy’s got the dreaded lurgy!! 😮
