Exploring My Bookshelves is a weekly meme created by Victoria at Addlepates and Book Nerds and co-hosted with Shannon at For the Love of Words. Visit either blog for the list of topics.
So you might have noticed that I forgot to do this post last weekend. It totally slipped my mind so I’ll double up in this one.
Last week’s topic was:
A creature you want to be
And for that, I’ll go with —
— a hobbit. 🙂 But I’d be a hobbit who tends to act like an elf because I would shave my feet and sometimes wear shoes. I considered choosing to be an elf but they seem so stuck up. Hobbits take things easy. They just relax and enjoy life and loved ones. I like that. So I’d be a hobbit living in a time of peace.
This week’s topic:
A book you can barely remember
I don’t need to choose a book for this. The answer is any book on my shelves that I did not read and review in the past 2 years. That’s why I blog.
How this meme works:
- Take a “shelfie” (a picture of your bookshelf). Preferably literal, but e-shelves work too.
- Write something on the day’s prompt.
- Give the blurb and the cover of the book (and what you thought of it if you’ve read it).
- Link back to Victoria’s post.
My bookshelf:

Yay for Hobbits! As elegant and mystical as the Elves may be, I’d rather be a Hobbit. I love how they value the simple things in life. 🙂

Yes, that’s exactly what I wanted to say. I think being an elf would be complicated. Too much politics.

haha great answers- I’d be a hobbit if I didn’t want to be a dragon so bad- what can I say, I’m a sucker for hoards of gold. How can you remember a book you hardly remember? Evidently, I’ve forgotten what it was :p

Haha! The same thought went through my mind when I was done writing the post. If I can remember the book, then it wouldn’t count.

Lots of people chose Hobbit, and it’s making me feel really bad about not reading the books or watching the movies yet… One day I will 🙂
Thanks for participating!

Don’t feel about that.
I haven’t read all the books myself. Just the Hobbit and the first LoTR book.
