Here’s a tag that was recent. I was tagged by Jesse at Books at Dawn (Thank You!) and I thought it best to hop to it now since fall is almost gone.
Crunching Leaves: The world is full of color – Book that has a red/orange/yellow cover.
I choose Lord of Chaos by Robert Jordan for this one. Only the yellow and red colors are showing here but my physical copy fits this question. It’s the sixth book in the Wheel of Time series and I plan to read it at the start of the New Year.
Cozy Sweater: Book that gives you the warm fuzzies.
I tried. I really, really tried to come up with a different answer but I couldn’t. It’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone for this one. Might as well just hop to the next question.
Fall Storm: Favorite book or genre for a rainy day.
It doesn’t matter to me what book or genre I read on a rainy day. However, if I feel sad on a rainy day, then I’d read something inspiring like Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert or one of my other books on creativity like Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert (which I haven’t yet read) or Wonderbook by Jeff Vandermeer.
Cool Crisp Air: The coolest character that you would love to trade places with.
I can’t recall having read a novel that has a character whose life I’d like to live. I mean, I wouldn’t mind attending Hogwarts and visiting the magical, hidden wizard world but I wouldn’t want to switch places with any of the characters from the book. Same goes for Alanna from the Song of the Lioness series, which I love. I wouldn’t even switch places with any of the characters from Patrick Ness’s recent novel, The Rest of Us Just Live Here, in which the main characters live a normal life.
Hot Apple Cider: An underhyped book that should become the next best thing.
Umm… maybe You by Caroline Kepnes. It’s a really good story and I highly recommend it. A good bit of people have read it but it’s not as popular as other books.
Coat, Scarves, and Mittens: Fall is the time to cover up – Book that has an embarrassing cover that you would keep hidden in public.
Any romance or erotica books. I don’t think anyone wants to be seen reading erotica in public and some romance novel covers can lead to embarrassing moments.
Pumpkin Spice: Favorite fall time comfort food/ drink?
That would be a pumpkin spice latte (no espresso) from Panera. It’s so yummy! :p
