Aaaannddd…I’m back with another tag post. This one is fitting for this time of year since it’s December and the horrible snow will start falling soon…maybe in January (hopefully it skips me!). I was recently tagged for the Dashing Through the Snow Book Tag by Ariana, the Quirky Book Nerd, and I decided to do it as soon as I can because it fits the season. Thanks Ariana!
Here are the rules:
- Thank the curator. [Shoutout to Astra, A Stranger’s Guide to Novels, for creating the tag.]
- Tag 5 people to spread the Christmas joy.
- Have fun! :p
Name a book you would like to see under your Christmas tree.
I bought myself so many books this year that it’s hard to answer this question. But it would be really nice to receive these:
A Folio Society copy of Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. It’s pretty pricey so I won’t be able to afford it any time soon, but I’d like to have it because the cover looks cool and it’s illustrated and I think I’ll love the story. I’d also like to receive George R.R. Martin’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms just because I’m such a fan of the Song of Ice and Fire series.
A book you’ll be reading during the Christmas season.
At the moment, I’m reading this:
If everything goes well, which I doubt it will reading-wise, I’ll complete it sometime this week and then hop to —
Shadowshaper by Daniel José Older. I just borrowed it from my library.
Favorite Christmas movie.
Of course it’s this:
It’s such a fun show and definitely a classic. I still find it entertaining.
By the way, have you seen this video on that imagines what Kevin McCallister would be like today after such a crazy Christmas?
Do you like snow?
Hell. No. I hate it.
Love to look at it but hate to walk in it or have anything to do with it other than stare at it while inside drinking hot chocolate. I hope we won’t have a white Christmas this year.
Name a character you would like to spend your Christmas day with.
Umm…I can’t think of any. Maybe the whole Weasley family from the Harry Potter series because they know how to throw a festive Christmas party.
To give or receive?
Receive. I always enjoy getting gifts. I only like to give gifts when I know what to get a person AND that the person will like what I give them.
What fictional place would you like to spend Christmas at?
The burrow. It’s cozy there.
I love this illustration of it.
Fondest Christmas memory?
I have one but I’m going to cheat and not share it. Everyone doesn’t need to know.
Can you say “Christmas tree” ten times FAST in a row (pronouncing it correctly)?
No. Five times? Yes. By the sixth time, my mind wanders and I forget what I was saying.
Fantastic answers 😀 That edition of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is absolutely beautiful ❤ I'm with you: I love watching snow, but that's about it. It's awful having to do anything in it. Spending Christmas with the Weasleys at the Burrow would make for an absolutely lovely holiday.
Thank you for doing the tag! 🙂

Gosh- I love Home Alone- I always forget it’s a Christmas movie until this time of year when it inevitably comes on tv and I inevitably rewatch the whole series :p Thanks for the tag!

Lol lol yea. That’s true. I didn’t think of it as a Christmas movie until I heard others saying so, then I realized it is.
