I’ve wanted to do this tag since I first saw it on Lindsey Rey’s channel on YouTube. She created it but has taken down the video and is no longer producing videos so I’m unable to link to her channel. But, I consider myself tagged by Jah at Books Beyond Measure, who did this tag a couple weeks ago.
What book have you been unable to finish?
I have three, which I’m embarrassed about because I’ve been reading them for a couple years now. But I keep either reading a few pages and putting the book down or restarting the book. Anyways, they are:

What book have you yet to read because you just haven’t had the time?
It’s hard to answer this because I hardly think of time when I choose a book. I choose my books according to what I feel like reading. I guess for this one I’ll just choose a book I want to read right now but am unable to because I already have 3 books in rotation. It’s
What book have you yet to read because it’s a sequel?
I was supposed to read it for the Authorathon readathon but didn’t bother to because I want to review Eon first. I have a lot of thoughts about that book.
What book have you yet to read because it’s brand new?
— as well as all the books I recently bought. I chose this one though I would like to continue and complete the series soon.
What book have you yet to read because you read a book by the same author and didn’t enjoy it?
I want to read all the Wheel of Time books because I am interested in the series. But I’m halfway through the series and Jordan includes a lot of unnecessary details that sometimes make reading a little tedious. I feel as if I’ve walked down a long road and am now at the halfway point debating whether it’s better just to turn back and go home.
What book have you yet to read because you’re just not in the mood for it?
All 3 of the Shakespeare plays I said I’d read this year. I’m not a big fan of Shakespeare and I’m really not in the mood. Really. Not.
What book have you yet to read because it’s humongous?
Separately, they’re not that big, but I tend to think of them together because I’d like to read them back-to-back if I can. I’m just not in the mood yet.
What book have you yet to read because it was a cover buy that turned out to have poor reviews?
I don’t know. I don’t often buy or read based on reviews. I just read reviews if I happen to see them. I don’t seek them out until I’m midway through the book and am too anxious and impatient to know what happens next so I try to find a review with spoilers.
What is the most intimidating book in your TBR pile?
Probably The Histories by Herodotus. I keep confusing this book with the Twelve Caesars by Suetonius. The Twelve Caesars I really want to read. The Histories I think I want to read. I borrowed it from the library a few weeks ago but it’s so damn big and I found it so uninteresting that I doubt I’ll ever pick it back up.
Who do you tag?
…and anyone who hasn’t done this tag.
I love this idea! I think it’ll be my next blog post because I have a gang of Intimidating TBRs!

I’m forever in love with The Iliad and The Odyssey (but mainly The Iliad) so I’d definitely recommend them! Right after reading The Iliad, I would look into reading The Song of Achilles – it’s the most beautiful retelling I’ve ever read.
