Weekend Reads is a weekly post in which I discuss a variety of topics and mention the books I plan to read on the weekend. But for this entry, I simply want to announce that I am back from my short vacation.
I took a little trip to Jamaica to visit family and was too busy to be on the computer much during that time. Also, everyone forgot the password for the internet so I was unable to connect. I spent the time hanging out with my family, traveling around the country, sweating profusely, and being gnawed on by mosquitoes or sandflies, whatever those little black, flying, biting things were.
I had fun and took advantage of the opportunity to eat as much pattie and cocobread as I could. Yum! 😀 But unfortunately, there were no apples available. 😦 I call them apples but other islands call them pomerac and they are some of the best fruits ever. The skin is a bright red or dark burgundy and inside is as white as snow with a huge seed in the middle. It tastes sooo… gooood and I can’t remember when last I had a bite of it.
Anyways, I glad to be back, though I already miss my family and the time spent with them. I’ll try to get back in the blogging groove. I have a lot to post and many blog posts to catch up on since I was unable to read any while away. As for this weekend, here’s
