2017 Reading Wrap-Up: Third Quarter

Here’s to wrapping up the third quarter of the year! 😀

My reading spiked during this quarter because I participated in several reading events causing me to read a total of 26 books, most of which were new-to-me reads. This quarter also contained my favorite season — summer — so my interest in books received a jolt because I was happier and more eager to participate in my favorite activity. Currently reading
Fool’s Errand by Robin Hobb

— I’m buddy-reading this with Emily at Embuhlee liest and am liking it so far. I missed Fitz’s voice and am glad to return to it.

Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi

— Wow! I’m so hooked on this novel and am speeding through it. I’ve only been reading it for two days and I’m already halfway through. I’m glad I waited until the hype blew pass before picking it up.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

— I was watching the Hunger Games movie while on vacation and it made me want to reread the book.

    1. Omg! I’m almost halfway through and it’s so good. I probably could have finished it in a day if I didn’t have so much going on. Highly recommend it.

  1. I love Terry Pratchett! Glad you liked ‘Equal Rites’. It is one of my favorites and Granny Weatherwax is my favorite Pratchett character.

I’m looking forward to ‘Kings of the Wyld’.

    Happy Reading!

    1. Lol yup. Making my way through it. I’m now convinced there’s some strong lovey feelings between the Fitz and the Fool. Curious to see how that plays out.
And The Shining is now one of my favs too.
