Star Trek Book Tag | Port Jericho

And now I present the last Star Trek Book Tag I’ll do for SciFiMonth — a monthlong celebration of all things science fiction by the Wyrd & Wonder crew.

I can’t believe I managed to find so many versions of this tag to do, lol!

This Star Trek Book Tag was created by book blogger Port Jericho. The questions are based on the original show.

Kirk — This Captain doesn’t believe in no-win scenarios.

Name a character who likes to play fast & loose with the rules but whose heart is in the right place.

Cari from The Gutter Prayer by Gareth Hanrahan

Cari is an orphan and thief living in the slums of a city called Guerdon, and apparently, she has some connection to the city’s bells. We learn in what way as the story goes on. But due to always being on the run, Cari doesn’t always go by the rules; however, she deeply cares for those close to her.

And so I am back again with yet another Star Trek Book Tag.

I’m doing this tag series for SciFiMonth, a monthlong celebration of all things science fiction that’s hosted by the Wyrd & Wonder crew.

This Star Trek Book Tag was created by booktuber PageScreenTaylor and is based on the movie Star Trek Beyond.

Captain Kirk: Name a character who is a natural leader.

Granny Weatherwax

You have no choice but to follow Granny Weatherwax (or else suffer one of her stares), so naturally that makes her a natural leader, lol.

Star Trek Book Tag | Jay Dee Archer

So… guess who’s back with another Star Trek Book Tag for SciFiMonth?

This is my way of participating in SciFiMonth from the sidelines because your girl is swamped and can’t fully participate as she would like.

This Star Trek Book Tag was created by booktuber Jay Dee Archer. He based the questions on the TV series.

Star Trek: The Original Series

A corny yet entertaining book

The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom by Christopher Healy, illus. by Todd Harris

It’s a middle grade fantasy novel about the princes charming from fairytales. It was an entertaining read, but the humor was a little corny at times. Still, I enjoyed it and do intend to read the next book… whenever I get to it.

Let’s Rewind: October 2021

October was quite a month. Overall it was a good one, but it was filled with some high ups and some low downs, which has exhausted me. I haven’t been in the mood to do much, which is why this monthly wrap up post is so late.

Let’s Rewind is a monthly wrap up but instead of talking about only books, I include all types of other stuff, like articles… bookish news… commercials… random-ass links… movies… art… podcasts… cartoons… and whatever else happened to me in the month. You know, the usual stuff that people talk about in monthly wrap ups. So read on to see what I did and read this month. You might stumble upon something that interests you.

Y’all, I love fall. I don’t like the cold weather, but I do love dressing for fall months, and I love the colors associate with it. I love the leaves turning and hearing the fallen ones crunch under my boots. I love the scents of fall — apples, cinnamon, pumpkin — and the outdoor activities that it brings — hay rides, corn mazes, haunted houses and fields, apple picking, — although I’ve only been to a few of these things. But it seems that I’ll always be stressed in the fall. I can’t remember a time when I rode out the entire season unstressed.

Six for Sunday: The Orange Ones

Six for Sunday is a bookish meme created and hosted by Steph at A Little But a Lot.

I’ve often seen posts of this meme over on Corner of Laura and have always intended to join in, so I’m doing so now for the month of November.

This Sunday’s topic:

Orange books

The November topics seem to be fall themed, so we’re kicking things off with the bright color associated with autumn. Here are some orange books I own and probably haven’t read… yet.

Star Trek Book Tag | James Holder

So there I was… unprepared for the blogging week but wanting to throw up something. Then I remembered that it’s SciFiMonth. Hosted by the Wyrd & Wonder crew, this is a monthlong celebration of all things scifi. I wanted to participate but guess what? I’m unprepared. No surprise there.

Well, I said to myself, I’ll participate in a minor way by cheering from the sidelines. And do you know what that means? No? It means scifi book tags throughout the month!! 😆

I actually don’t have that many scifi-themed book tags on my “To Do” list of tags, but there was a Star Trek tag there with a link that no longer works. A quick googling later and I was in luck: I found four different Star Trek book tags! Of course, I was excited and wanted to do them all in one long post, but I’ll be patient and do them in separate ones. Here’s the first one I found.

This Star Trek Book Tag was created by booktuber James Holder.

But before I get going, I must confess. I’m not a Star Trek fan. 😨 I watched the show as a kid, but I just wasn’t interested. So… well, umm… to the tag!

Book Haul #78: Unprepared

It’s winding down to the end of the year, so things are pretty busy, which means I’m almost always unprepared for the blogging week. That’s when the book tags pop up! 😊

Much as I love doing them, I’m hoping to get out some reviews this week. I’m not sure how that’s gonna go since I haven’t written any reviews this weekend, but we’ll see what I come up with during the week. For now, here’s a book haul, which I hope will be the last one for the year.
