Six for Sunday: Green Covers

Six for Sunday is a bookish meme created and hosted by Steph at A Little But a Lot.

This Sunday’s topic:

Books With Green Covers

Well, in my part of the world, green things are starting to hint at sprouting again, heralding the coming of spring… and my allergies. So here are some green books for my blog.

Bent Heavens by Daniel Kraus
Trees by Tony Johnston, illus. by Tiffany Bozic
Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett
Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi
The Barrowfields by Phillip Lewis
Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton

I’ve only read two of this bunch: Witches Abroad, which is fantasy and part of Pratchett’s Discworld series, and Boy, Snow, Birdwhich I consider literary historical fiction with some magical realism thrown in. I enjoyed Witches Abroad, of course, and think it’s the most enjoyable of the Discworld books I’ve read so far, but I didn’t like Boy, Snow, Bird much, unfortunately.

Trees is a recent purchase I got for the gorgeous cover, and the Barrowfields I bought so long ago now that I’ve forgotten why or what the book is about. Both Hollow Kingdom and Bent Heavens are horror that I can’t believe I haven’t read yet.

HAVE YOU READ ANY OF THESE green BOOKS?

LET ME KNOW BELOW.

  1. Ah yes, I do love spring…. except for those allergies. Keeping fingers crossed this will be a mild year. Bent Heavens has a very cool cover, especially that skeletal face in the reflection.
