Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic:
Books From My Past Seasonal TBR Posts I STILL Haven’t Read
I got excited when I saw this topic because I was thinking to do something similar soon. I enjoy making TBRs, but I suck at following them during the time limit I set for myself. However, going through the TBRs I’ve made over the years, I realized that I eventually managed to read the majority of books on them.
Well, here are the remaining books I’d like to FINALLY read. (Totally didn’t realize it’s supposed be for seasonal TBRs. I included some for readathons and other reading events.)

Emperor of the Eight Islands by Lian Hearn
Omg! Why haven’t I read this book yet?! I bought it because of the cover and am hoping I love it so it makes sense to get all the other books in the series because the covers are gorgeous and by one of my favorite illustrators, Yuko Shimizu. This is from my 2018 spring TBR.
Lagoon by Nnedi Okorafor
Look at that beautiful cover! I should have already picked it up to read, but instead I keep picking it up to admire the pretty cover. This is from my 2020 NEWTS Magical Readathon TBR.
The Isle of Blood by Rick Yancey
It’s the third book in Yancey’s YA supernatural historical-fiction series Monstrumology. I enjoyed the first two books and believe I’ll enjoy this one as well. This is from my 2020 fall TBR.
The Green Man’s Heir by Juliet McKenna
This is from my 2022 Wyrd & Wonder TBR. I actually started it but didn’t get past the first couple pages. My reading was very spotty earlier this year.
The Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson
This one is from my 2021 Spooktastic Reads TBR. I would love to read this one this year in the fall or over a rainy weekend.

The Encyclopedia of Early Earth by Isabel Greenberg (illus.)
I should seriously read this soon. I mean… I’ve had it out from the library for so many years now. I wonder if the librarians realize it’s missing. I fully intend to return it — after I read it. It’s from my 2017 winter TBR. I think that’s the year I “checked” it out from the library… maybe…?
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
I bought this book during the hype for the series but have lost interest since then, so I’ve yet to pick it up to read. That means now is probably a good time for me to read it. It’s from my 2019 summer TBR.
Under the Pendulum Sun by Jeannette Ng
This has been high on my TBR for so long, I should have already read it. It’s another one I’d like to pick up later in the year, like in the winter months. It gives me winter vibes for some reason. It’s from my 2019 fall TBR.
Truthwitch by Susan Dennard
This is another one I bought due to the hype for it. The hype has since died down, but my curiosity is still strong, so I’d also like to read it soon. It, too, is from my 2019 summer TBR.
Run For It: Stories of Slaves Who Fought for Their Freedom by Marcelo D’Salete (illus.)
I keep starting this graphic novel and not completing it. It’s another one I should read soon. It’s from my 2018 summer TBR.
Lagoon is weird but good😁

I’ve read Lagoon, and thought it was very weird and very cool. She’s such a great writer! I have a copy of the Year of the Witching still to read, and children of Blood & Bone too. Good luck!

Same. I love making TBR lists, but I rarely actually stick to them. Eventually, I’ll get to the ones I’m really interested in while the others kind of fall by the wayside. I hope you enjoy all these when you get to them!
Happy TTT!
