Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic:
Halloween Freebie
I’ve been off work and my sense of days is a mess, so I forgot that yesterday was Tuesday, but I’d still like to participate in TTT. Since this week’s topic is a Halloween freebie and I’ve already done a recommendation post for fall reads that includes a range of books from cozy reads to spooky ones, for this post I’ve decided to instead focus on horror books I want to read.
One of Us by Craig DiLouie
The Man Who Came Down the Attic Stairs by Celine Loup (illus.)
The Isle of Blood by Rick Yancey
The Black Monday Murders, Vol. 1: All Hail, God Mammon by Jonathan Hickman, illus. by Tomm Coker
Uzumaki by Junji Ito (illus.), trans. by Yuji Oniki
The Kingdom of the Gods by In-Wan Youn & Eun-Hee Kim, illus. by Kyung-Il Yang, trans. by Christine Dashiell
Already Dead by Charlie Huston
I Am Legend by Richard Matheson
The Resurrectionist: The Lost Work of Dr. Spencer Black by E.B. Hudspeth (illus.)
The Changeling by Victor LaValle
Let me know if you’ve read any of them and what you thought.

I Am Legend is a classic I’ve always wanted to read but still haven’t. I did watch the movie version, though, and enjoyed that. 🙂

Same here. I enjoyed the movie. That’s what led me to get the book, although I haven’t given in to reading it yet.

One of Us is so good but a tough read. And I just added Uzumaki to my TBR after reading a review recently.

People’s reviews of both those are what led me to getting them too.

I’ve not read any of these except Uzumaki (I think?). I read a few Junji Ito works but they honestly creep me out too much so I stopped!

I’m looking forward to trying his work. I keep thinking I won’t be spooked, but I scare easy so I’m sure I will.
