Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Shanah, the Bionic Book Worm, and now hosted by Meeghan at Meeghan Reads.
This week’s topic:
Top 5 books I meant to read in 2022
There are several books I meant to read this year, but these are the five that quickly came to mind.

Dead Zone by Stephen King
Doctor Sleep by Stephen King
Isle of Blood by Rick Yancey
The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
Monstress series by Marjorie Liu, illus. by Sana Takeda
Since my plan is to read Stephen King’s novels in publication order, I was supposed to read Dead Zone next, but of course I’ve yet to pick it up. Same with Doctor Sleep, which I intend to read out of order because I like The Shining too much to wait.
Isle of Blood is the next Monstrumologist book I need to read, which I’ve been intending to do for the past few years now. I’ll prioritize it in the new year.
And I’ve been curious about revisiting The Golden Compass, so I might prioritize it too in the new year.
Finally, I need to catch up on the Monstress series. I’m way behind.
The Monstress series is so good.

Wasn’t there a tv show for The Dead Zone? Granted, there’s been a movie or show for most of King’s stories. 🙂

I think so… Can’t remember for sure, but there probably was one.

I’m behind on Monstress, too, and I should probably just start from the beginning. I know I’ve read volume 4, but I remember nothing about it.

I’ll have to do the same actually, when I get back to it, and start from the beginning.

Loved Dead Zone and The Golden Compass! Doctor Sleep was…frustrating. ✔️
