It’s been a while since I’ve done a book tag on Book Tag Thursday, but here’s my attempt to get going with it again.
Today, I’ll do the I’ll Get Around to It Later Book Tag that I found over on Corner of Laura. It was created by Liesl of Quote, Unquote.
A classic book you have been meaning to read forever but haven’t yet
The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte
This one has probably been on my TBR since I read Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre, which was some time ago. I’ll get to it eventually.
A book on your shelf that you haven’t read yet
Never the Wind by Francesco Dimitri
Well, that’s about 80% of the books on my shelves, but let’s go with this one, which I’ve wanted to read since buying it but have yet to.
A book that you got recently that you haven’t read
Magician: Apprentice by Raymond E. Fiest
That’s all the books I recently got, but I’ll go with this, which has been on my TBR for a very long time.
A book that you’ve had forever but haven’t read
Fool by Christopher Moore
I bought this back in college when I started collecting books. I still can’t believe I haven’t read it yet.
A book a friend recommended that you haven’t read
Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki
A former co-worker recommended it to me. I know it’s going to take some time for me to get to it since I’m not big on sci-fi.
A book you’re procrastinating on
Moon Witch, Spider King by Marlon James
That’s every book I own, but let’s go with this one because I keep thinking I’ll struggle with it and not like it.
The next book on your TBR
The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman
I recently completed the TV-show adaptation and loved it, so I’m looking forward to reading this soon.
This is a really nice tag! I think I would try my hands at it too!

Ahhh, thank you for doing my tag! I loved reading your answers!! I have to admit that I’ve never read any of these books, but they sound cool 😀

You’re welcome! It was a fun one.

Hope you enjoy The Subtle Knife! I liked the Tenant of Wildfell Hall but, fair warning, some parts can be a little slow.

Thanks for the warning. I go into classics expecting that, so I’m always surprised whenever that’s not the case.

I loved The Tenant of Wildfell Hall as a teenager – to the point of near-obsession.
Feist’s Magician, on the other hand, I HATE with a passion (and I can see a lot of people in the comments love it, so I feel bad even saying that!)
I’m still working up the courage to read Black Leopard, Red Wolf … let alone the next volume. 😀

The positive comments about Tenant of Wildfell Hall is making me drive up on my TBR. I might try it in the summer months.
Lol, aww don’t feel bad about not liking Magician. It happens.
And, oh man, the first 150 pages or so in Black Leopard, Red Wolf were a struggle for me, but the story is interesting and became easier as it goes on.

OK, that helps – knowing that the opening will be tough but will get easier. Thanks!

I loved Magician: Apprentice and have recently been thinking about revisiting that series and finally finishing it (never got around to reading book 2 and 3). I hope you enjoy it! 😀

Thanks! It seems to be one people usually like.

I did a double take when I saw The Tenant of Wildfell Hall because it played a big part in a book I just read, Lone Women. I was actually thinking I should read it because the character loved it so much😁

That’s the one by Victor Lavelle, right? I’ve been seeing some positive reviews of it around

Yes! I loved it. I’m working on my review today.

I love Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Anne Bronte is often sidelined by her sisters’ reputation, which is really unfair because she’s also great.
I read The Subtle Knife a while ago, but I enjoyed it. I still have to get to The Amber Spyglass!

That’s good to know about Tenant of Wildfell Hall. My plan is to hopefully get to it this year, and same with Subtle Knife.

I finished THE SUBTLE KNIFE a few days ago! I was having a tough time reading the paperback because it doesn’t really start off where we left Lyra in book 1. So I switched to the audiobook and enjoyed it in that medium a lot more. It’s quite a good production, actually.

Oh, that’s good to know about the audio.
I was prepped for the focus to switch because of the TV show. It threw me off when the second season, I think, switched to the boy.

I was puzzled by Magician Apprentice until I went onto Goodreads and discovered that they have split the original Magician book into two separate volumes. Magician is one of my all time favourite books so I hope that you do get round to reading it soon.

Oh, I’m so glad you mentioned that because I didn’t realize that’s what they did. I actually bought it by accident because I forgot that I already have an old, used copy, which I was now thinking to get rid of, but I might just keep it instead since it probably has the full thing.

I would think so. I bet the first volume ends on a cliffhanger too 😀
