Down the TBR Hole #10: First of 2019

Down the TBR Hole is a meme created by Lia at Lost in a Story where we decide whether to keep or remove books on our TBR.

The rules for Down the TBR Hole:
  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

I’ve switched it up some and will only list the books I plan to remove from my Goodreads TBR. Those with a green Kick Off are ones I’ll probably change my mind on and read at some point.

Why feature these books that I won’t read? Well, one woman’s trash is another’s treasure. You might find something here that appeals to you. Yep, this is all for y’all. 😉

Down the TBR Hole #5: I Switch It Up Some

Here’s another edition of Down the TBR Hole, a meme created by Lia at Lost in a Story where we decide whether to keep or remove books on our TBR.

Since I have a lot of books on my Goodreads TBR (888 total at the time I’m writing this), which I use for this tag, I decided to switch it up and only include the books I’ll Kick Off my TBR. Otherwise, that would be a lot of books to include in this meme. I want to go through my TBR quicker because I’d really like to clear out the books I’m no longer interested in.

However, I wouldn’t say this is a final decision. A huge reason why I like this tag is because it gives me the opportunity to record on my blog the books I removed from my TBR, so I can look back on these posts months in the future and still choose one of these Kicked Off books to read, which, knowing myself, is totally possible.

The rules for Down the TBR Hole:
  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Down the TBR Hole #3: Back Again

Yup, I’m back with another Down the TBR Hole post, which I might do more frequently so I can quickly kick off some books on my TBR that I’m no longer interested in.

The rules for Down the TBR Hole:
  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books

Top Ten Tuesday #31: Down the TBR Hole #2

Haha!!! Top Ten Tuesday has provided me with another opportunity to do a Down the TBR Hole post.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that was created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish but is now managed by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic:

Books I’ve Decided I’m No Longer Interested In Reading

Which is perfect for another edition of Down the TBR Hole, a meme created by Lia at Lost in a Story where we decide whether to keep or remove books on our TBR.

The rules for Down the TBR Hole:
  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Top Ten Tuesday #30: Down the TBR Hole #1

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that was created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish but is now managed by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic:

Books That Have Been on My TBR the Longest and I Still Haven’t Read

Okay, I know Tuesday is long gone so there’s no need for me to invoke in on Friday, but all the posts I saw for this week’s TTT topic made me want to participate. I just didn’t get a chance to complete the post until now (Thursday night).

I went to Goodreads to look up the books to include in this post but while doing so, I realized that I no longer want to read some of them, so I decided to combine this TTT post with the Down the TBR Hole meme created by Lia at Lost in a Story where we decide whether to keep or remove books on our TBR.

Sure, I could just make this a Down the TBR Hole post only and call it that but dammit, I started creating this post on Tuesday night and I intend to do a TTT post this week no matter what, even if it’s delayed to Friday.

The rules for Down the TBR Hole:
  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

I went overboard (yeah, I’m just all over the place this week); so instead of 10 books, I have here 20 books that have been on my TBR for a long time. I’ll decide whether to Keep them or Kick them off my list.
