blogger-appreciation-award

Thank you Orang-utan Librarian for listing me as one of your favorite bloggers and bestowing this award on my blog. It was really sweet and made me feel as if someone had bought me a bucket of my favorite ice cream just for me. Thanks girl! 😀

I’ll pass this award on to some great bloggers I follow on here. I’ll only select a few. Here are who readily come to mind…

Real Neat Blog Award

I am so late with post (sorry!!!), but I’m trying to get caught up now on award posts. Better late than never, eh.

Real Neat Blog Award 2

Well, I was nominated for the Real Neat Blog Award last year by Sarah at Brainfluff. Sarah is a sci-fi writer and she also reviews lots of sci-fi and fantasy books as well. Check her out for some recommendations!

And thanks again Sarah for nominating me for this award. I really do appreciate being nominated for these blog awards because I think they highlight people’s efforts on here.

Reflecting on 2016: Blogging

Well, I was hoping to get some insight into my blogging progress in 2016 from the annual WordPress report, but it seems that WordPress will no longer publish them. (For more info, see this support forum.)

Then I tried doing my own infographic, but gosh! It took a while to decide on what to feature, get the stats, and then format the infographic so I didn’t bother. I can see why WordPress decided to no longer do it, but if they can find an easier way that isn’t as time consuming, that would be great.

I’ve decided to present the same sort of information usually included in the annual reports but without the graphics and fireworks (I miss the fireworks 😥 ) and comparison to the Sydney Opera House because I don’t know how to calculate that and I’m too lazy to try. (I’m too lazy to do a lot of things today, actually.)

Anyway, I keep improving each year. The more time I put into this blog, the more I’m rewarded with increased views and interactions.

I got a huge boost in visitors and views back in 2015, which reflected my efforts to post more and interact with other blogs. And since 2015, my stats have increased to

Weekend Reads #64: Answers to Your Questions

A couple weeks ago, I shared the wonderful news that I now have over 800 subscribers to my blog and that I’d celebrate by doing a Q&A. Well, now I’m here to answer the questions you all asked.

I never thought I’d have so many people subscribed to my blog, but I’m happy for it and I do appreciate you all following along with me here, reading and sharing my posts, and tagging me in things. You all have helped to make this hobby enjoyable.

The first questions were from Liz at Cover to Cover, who asked:

diversebookbloggers (2)It’s that time of the month again! Here’s yet another fantastic Diverse Book Blogger feature, this time featuring Anaïs from Zezee with Books

  1. behold-the-dreamersTell us a little bit about your blog, Zezee with Books! Does it have a specific focus?
Zezee with Books is simply a blog of my interests. It mostly focuses on books, but sometimes I feature artwork either by me or artists I like and sometimes I discuss TV shows I watch (if the show has upset me in some way). I publish a variety of posts including discussions and book reviews, which I often refer to as reflections because I use my blog as a journal for what I read.
  2. There’s a “60 Classics in 5 Years challenge on your blog– which diverse classics are you reading, and how has reading diversely changed your idea of what a “classic” book really is?
