Let’s Rewind: October 2021

October was quite a month. Overall it was a good one, but it was filled with some high ups and some low downs, which has exhausted me. I haven’t been in the mood to do much, which is why this monthly wrap up post is so late.

Let’s Rewind is a monthly wrap up but instead of talking about only books, I include all types of other stuff, like articles… bookish news… commercials… random-ass links… movies… art… podcasts… cartoons… and whatever else happened to me in the month. You know, the usual stuff that people talk about in monthly wrap ups. So read on to see what I did and read this month. You might stumble upon something that interests you.

Y’all, I love fall. I don’t like the cold weather, but I do love dressing for fall months, and I love the colors associate with it. I love the leaves turning and hearing the fallen ones crunch under my boots. I love the scents of fall — apples, cinnamon, pumpkin — and the outdoor activities that it brings — hay rides, corn mazes, haunted houses and fields, apple picking, — although I’ve only been to a few of these things. But it seems that I’ll always be stressed in the fall. I can’t remember a time when I rode out the entire season unstressed.

Let’s Rewind: October 2020

This is my October wrap up. It’s late because I haven’t been in the mood to blog lately.

Maaan… I don’t even remember what went down in October. All that’s on my mind right now is that Trump is out of a job and is acting like an ass about it. I wish he could be kicked out ASAP instead of having to wait until January next year. This dude is so odd and incompetent as a president.

Let’s Rewind: October 2019

Blogging hasn’t been going great lately. I was in a blogging slump in October and now I’m participating in NaNoWriMo, which was unexpected, so I’ll have less time to blog in November and am barely managing to read any books. Super busy this month, y’all!

I’ll try to drop a post when I can, and hopefully I’ll be able to visit everyone’s blogs as well, but if not, I’ll see y’all in December instead.

But anyway, let’s rewind to October…

Let’s Rewind is my version of a monthly wrap up but instead of talking about only books, I include all types of other stuff, like articles… bookish news… commercials… random-ass links… movies… art… podcasts… cartoons… and whatever else happened to me in the month. You know, the usual stuff that people talk about in monthly wrap ups. So read on to see what I did and read this month. You might stumble upon something that interests you.

What’s On Your Nightstand: October 2017

What’s on Your Nightstand is a monthly meme hosted by 5 Minutes for Books on the last Tuesday of every month that summarizes what you’ve read for the month, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan to read next. For my posts, I also include articles, music, art, TV shows, and whatever else I did in the month.

October was a weird month. It seemed to both fly past me quickly yet plod at a slow pace toward its end. October was also a fun month filled with lots of work and travel and fun times at concerts with friends. I also decided in that month to try to save more, though in making that decision, I also ended up spending more too. I guess it wasn’t a great decision to make. For me, it’s usually best that I just go ahead and do a thing instead of making and stating my decision. When I make the decision, sometimes I end up doing the opposite of the decision. It’s frustrating. I frustrate myself.

Weekend Reads #61: What’s On Your Nightstand: October 2016

What's On Your NightstandWeekend Reads is a weekly post in which I discuss a variety of topics and mention the books I plan to read on the weekend. For this week’s entry, I’ll do a What’s on Your Nightstand post, which is a monthly meme hosted by 5 Minutes for Books on the last Tuesday of every month that summarizes what you’ve read for the month, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan to read next.

I treat my What’s On Your Nightstand posts as quick wrapups because usually the books on my nightstand are the ones I recently completed that are waiting to be reviewed. The books I’m currently reading are usually in my purses since I mostly read while commuting to work and other places. But now my nightstand is clear because I’m all caught up on reviews. It’s the first this has ever happened as I’m always behind on them. I’m quite proud of myself. Anyways, here are the books I completed since my last entry.
