Fall 2020 TBR

It’s been a while since I’ve made a TBR because I never follow them; but fall is here!! It’s one of my favorite seasons and since I’m in a good mood and have already had two pumpkin spice lattes since October started, I thought I’d do one of my favorite blogging things — make a TBR!!

For me, fall is from October to about mid-December, so I’ll try to focus on these books for that time. I’ve already started a few, so I’m optimistic that I’ll complete at least 2 of the books on this list.

I’ll also participate in Spooktastic Reads, which is a laid-back reading and blogging event hosted by the Wyrd & Wonder crew over the 13 days leading up to Halloween, and will read some of these for that event too.

Well then, here’s what I plan to read:

Books on My Fall 2019 TBR

For me, a TBR list often becomes a list of books I really want to read and tell myself to read but never actually read, which is kinda what happened with my summer TBR. I read every other book except the ones on my TBR. Well, I did manage to read one — The Lost Years of Merlin — but that’s because I read it for a buddy-read. If not for that, it probably wouldn’t have been read.

Anyway, here’s what I might not read this fall.

Books on My Summer 2019 TBR

For me, a TBR list often becomes a list of books I really want to read and tell myself to read but never actually read. However, I surprised myself with the progress I made on my spring TBR. I managed to read 5/10 books! That’s a cause for celebration! 😀 I hardly ever read that many books from my TBR.

I hope I’ll do the same or better with my summer TBR. Here’s what I might read:

Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far in 2018

Here are the best books I’ve read in the first half of the year. I’ll start at January and work my way up. Rereads are not included.

Nightlights by Lorena Alvarez Gomez (illus.)

★★★★☆

Summary: A sweet illustrated children’s graphic novel about a girl who works past her fears to continue creating the whimsical drawings she loves.

Why I like it: It’s a simple but great story about overcoming one’s insecurities to pursue one’s artistic interests, and I love Gomez’s illustrations. They are vibrant and colorful and pop off the pages.
