What’s On Your Nightstand: January 2017

What's On Your NightstandWhat’s on Your Nightstand, is a monthly meme hosted by 5 Minutes for Books on the last Tuesday of every month that summarizes what you’ve read for the month, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan to read next. For my posts, I also include articles, music, art, TV shows, and whatever else I did in the month.

January was rough for me. After all the wrap-ups and reflections and look-ahead posts, I was drained and wasn’t in the mood to read or blog. I instead spent much of my time watching movies and TV shows and now have so many TV shows I want to keep up with that I’ll have to make a schedule for them. I also read a couple interesting articles because of the divisive administration currently in power in the U.S., but I didn’t keep track of them so unfortunately, I won’t be able to share much in that section. Weekend Reads #61: What’s On Your Nightstand: October 2016

What's On Your NightstandWeekend Reads is a weekly post in which I discuss a variety of topics and mention the books I plan to read on the weekend. For this week’s entry, I’ll do a What’s on Your Nightstand post, which is a monthly meme hosted by 5 Minutes for Books on the last Tuesday of every month that summarizes what you’ve read for the month, what you’re currently reading, and what you plan to read next.

I treat my What’s On Your Nightstand posts as quick wrapups because usually the books on my nightstand are the ones I recently completed that are waiting to be reviewed. The books I’m currently reading are usually in my purses since I mostly read while commuting to work and other places. But now my nightstand is clear because I’m all caught up on reviews. It’s the first this has ever happened as I’m always behind on them. I’m quite proud of myself. Anyways, here are the books I completed since my last entry.

Villain Squad Tag

Villain Squad Tag

This is a pretty interesting tag that I’ve seen around booktube. I was tagged by Trisha Ann at The Bookgasm to do this back in October. Thanks Trisha!

Basically, I’ll create a villain squad based on my answers to the questions below. I’ll also adhere to Trisha’s added rule, which makes the sources for my choices limitless.

Think of your own villain identity and power!

I would have psychic powers like Prof. X from the X-men since I do this a lot —

Prof. X

I’m sure I’ll move something with my mind or read someone’s thoughts one of these days.
